GRILLED BANANA SPLIT
A delicious dessert of grilled bananas topped with ice cream and nuts.
1/4 cup pecans, toasted, roughly chopped
4 bananas, unpeeled
2 tbs dark brown sugar or Splenda
1 pint no sugar added vanilla ice cream
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Heat grill. In a bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut bananas lengthwise and crosswise, leaving the peel on. Oil the grill. Place bananas cut side down on grill and cook until slightly charred, turn the bananas, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture and cook until peels begin to separate from bananas.
-Discard peels from bananas. Divide bananas among bowls, top with ice cream and sprinkle with pecans, then SERVE.
