"A few years ago, we needed a dish for a neighborhood cookout. Since every cookout has BBQ beans, I wanted a change. These spicy beans simmered in beer are a great addition to any picnic, pot luck, or barbeque. Everyone who tried these requested the recipe.
1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans,
rinsed and drained
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans
, rinsed and drained
1 cup light beer 2 jalapeno peppers, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons cumin
1/8 teaspoon sea salt
Combine pinto beans, kidney beans, beer, jalapenos, garlic, cumin, and salt in a large saucepan. Simmer for 10 minutes. Serve warm or chilled
