CROCK POT BOOZY PEACH COBBLER
Filling
4 cups fresh sliced peaches
2 ounces of spiced rum (see note)
1 cup white, yellow, or vanilla cake mix, divided
Topping
3/4 cup old fashioned oats (see note)
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 cup cold butter
Toss the peaches with the spiced rum and then coat with 1/4 cup of the cake mix. Add the peaches to your slow cooker.
In a medium bowl, combine the remaining 3/4 cup cake mix, the oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. Cut the butter into the mixture until coarse crumbs form (I use a box grater to cut in the butter and then mix with my fingers).
Cover the peaches with the crumbly mixture.
Cover and cook on high for 2 1/2 hours.
Serve warm with whipped cream and/or ice cream
