Garlic Lime Shrimp
Garlic Lime Shrimp
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
2 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon granulated white sugar
3/4 teaspoon grated lime zest
pinch of cayenne pepper
10 large uncooked shrimp, peeled & de-veined
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
salt and pepper, to taste
Melt the butter in heavy medium skillet over medium heat. Add in the next 6 ingredients (through cayenne pepper). Sauté 30 seconds. Add the shrimp and sauté until opaque in the center, turning occasionally, about 3 minutes. Stir in the parsley. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
Serve the shrimp on its own or over hot cooked rice.
