Sassy Water
I'm not sure of the carbs on this, but I have been enjoying sassy water now that cukes are being picked. Have any of you made this? It is so refreshing.
I take about a half of a peeled sliced cuke and put it in a water pitcher. Add a couple wedges of lemon and mint leaves or mint flavored ice cubes if you have it. Fill the pitcher with cold water and let sit in the frig for a couple hours or so. It makes a really refreshing drink. Be sure the cukes is not bitter. It will affect the water.
Once the water is gone I refill the pitcher again with water. It seems there still is enough flavor for another round or two.
BTW-I have heard of putting fresh ginger in the water in place of mint. I haven't tried that.
