Peach Coffee Cake
Coffee Cake
2 cups all-purpose flour
2½ tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
¾ cup milk
¾ cup homemade brown sugar
½ cup sour cream
¼ cup of softened butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cup sliced peaches
Crumb Topping
1 cup homemade brown sugar
? cup flour
6 Tbsp. cold butter
Glaze
½ cup powdered sugar
2½ tsp. milk
? tsp. cinnamon
In a medium bowl, combine the 2 cups of flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. Set aside.
Beat ¾ cup of milk, ½ cup of sour cream, ¾ cup of brown sugar, ¼ cup of butter, egg, and vanilla until creamy. Add in dry ingredients and mix just until blended.
Fold in peaches. Be gentle!
Spoon batter into a 9 or 10-inch springform pan and sprinkle with crumble topping (see directions below).
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 - 50 minutes.
Crumble Topping
Combine 1 cup of brown sugar and ? cup of flour in a bowl.
Then cut in ½ cup cold butter until mixture is crumbly.
Glaze
Combine all the ingredients for glaze and drizzle over baked coffee cake before serving.
