Homemade Maple Syrup
Homemade Maple Syrup
You will need:
1/2 C. white sugar
1 1/2 C. homemade brown sugar
1 1/2 C. water
3/4 C. light corn syrup
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. maple flavoring optional
Combine the sugars, water, and corn syrup in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil until mixture thickens slightly, about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat then stir in salt and vanilla, and id using the maple flavoring. Cool completely before pouring into bottle or jar. This syrup doesn't need to be refrigerated.
