Homemade Cheeseburger Macaroni
1 Lb ground beef, browned
1 1/2 cups whole grain or regular elbow macaroni
1 - cup water or low sodium beef broth
2 - cups milk
1 - teaspoon onion powder
1 - teaspoon garlic powder
1 - teaspoon salt
1 - teaspoon sugar
2 - teaspoons paprika
1 - teaspoon cornstarch
1 - cup shredded cheddar cheese, I use sharp
In a large skillet over medium - high heat add the ground beef. Crumble and cook the ground beef until browned. Drain off any grease.
Add the pasta and all of the dry ingredients to the skillet. Add the water or broth and milk. Mix everything until combined.
Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce heat and cover the skillet. Let the pasta cook until tender and all the liquid is almost absorbed.
Stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese just before serving.
