BELGIAN WAFFLES
BELGIAN WAFFLES
4 eggs, separated
1 c. milk
2 c. flour
1/4 c. butter, melted
2 tsp. baking powder
1 T. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Melt butter and set aside. Beat egg yolks and sugar in a bowl until
light. Add cooled melted butter, milk and vanilla extract. Add
flour, baking powder and beat well. Beat egg whites until stiff and
gently fold into batter. Bake in a deep pocketed preheated waffle
iron until cover opens easily. Serve immediately on warm plates.
