Cheesy Garlic Rice
Cheesy Garlic Rice
2 cups low sodium chicken stock
1 cup water
5 garlic cloves, minced
1 1/2 cups brown rice
2 tsp dried basil
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup grated parmesan
Preheat oven to 350
Spray a 2 quart saucepan with nonstick spray
In a medium saucepan bring chicken stock, water & garlic to a boil
Combine rice, dried basil, pepper & salt in the casserole dish
Pour chicken stock over water and stir gently to combine
Cover and bake for 40 minutes, or until rice is tender
Add in cheese stir until melted
Let rice sit for 5-10 minutes to thicken before serving
