Cheesy Bacon Garlic Biscuits
Cheesy Bacon Garlic Biscuits
3/4 cup butter, divided
2 cups flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp chives, divided
1 cup whole milk
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
10 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
1 teaspoon dried parsley
Preheat oven to 425F.
Prepare a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium microwave-safe bowl, add 1/2 cup butter. Heat until butter is melted. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, garlic and salt.
Pour the milk into the melted butter and 1 tsp of chives then stir well.
Pour the milk and butter mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Add shredded cheese, 1 tsp chives and bacon, and fold in until evenly distributed.
Spoon the dough onto baking sheet in 1/2 cup sized portions. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until biscuits are just barely golden brown.
Melt remaining 1/4 cup of butter in small mixing bowl. Add in the parsley and give it a stir to combine. Brush the butter parsley mixture over the tops of the biscuits.
