Creamy Lima beans
1 lb lima beans
1 lb bacon
Cajon season
Red pepper flakes
Chicken broth
Butter
1 Carrot
1 onion
Garlic powder
Black pepper
Rinse and bring to a boil..turn off heat soak for 1hr then add water/broth just until beans are covered.. simmer about 1 1/2 hrs
Fry bacon remove then add sliced carrot and onion cook until onion/carrot almost cooked then add to beans also add spice and simmer until bean broth is thick..
note:i used bullion so no salt was needed.. just need to make my corn bread in my cast iron skillet!!
