Poured Pizza
Poured Pizza
A great weekday dinner. Change it up to fit your personal pizza preferences.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 cup flour
2 eggs
2/3 cup milk
1/8 tsp oregano
1 - 1 1/2 cups pizza sauce
2 cups shredded cheese (I used cheddar and an Italian mix)
pepperoni
mushrooms, peppers, or other favorite pizza toppings
Saute hamburger and chopped onion in a skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Drain. Set aside.
In a bowl combine flour, oregano, milk and eggs to make a soft batter. Pour the batter into the bottom of a prepared 9x13 baking dish.
Sprinkle the hamburger mixture evenly over top of the batter. Add a layer of pepperoni slices. Add additional pizza toppings of your choice. I used chopped sweet banana peppers from my garden.
Bake in 400F oven for 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven and add a layer of pizza sauce, and the shredded cheese. I sprinkled a little Italian Seasoning on top as well.
Bake for another 15 minutes. Allow to sit for 5 minutes or so before serving.
