Sausage Gravy
1 pound breakfast pork sausage
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1 tablespoon black pepper
2 teaspoons salt
In a large skillet brown sausage over medium high heat, breaking it up as it cooks
Once sausage is cooked through remove to a paper towel lined plate to drain, reserving the drippings in the skillet. Whisk in flour and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring often. Whisk in milk and bring to a boil, stirring often until gravy begins to thicken. Add in pepper and 1 teaspoon salt, taste and add in more as needed
Continue cooking until desired consistency is reached. Serve over your favorite biscuits.
