Peppermint Cookies with Peppermint Frosting
Peppermint Cookies with Peppermint Frosting
Serves: 12 cookies
1 cup Butter (Sweet Cream Salted)
3/4 cup Cornstarch
3/4 cup Powdered Sugar
1 cup Flour
1/2 teaspoon Peppermint Extract
Peppermint Candies
In a large bowl, cream butter, cornstarch and powdered sugar until creamy.
Mix in peppermint extract.
Add the flour and mix until combined.
Roll dough into a ball and slightly flatten the ball with the bottom of a glass or measuring cup before baking.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 10-12 minutes.
Frost with peppermint-buttercream-frosting
Decorate the cookies with Crushed Peppermint Candies
PEPPERMINT BUTTERCREAM FROSTING
1 pound (4 cups) of Powdered Sugar
1 cup Butter (We use Salted Sweet Cream Butter)
1 Tablespoon Milk
1 1/4 teaspoon of Peppermint Extract
Food Coloring – Red
Add powdered sugar to mixing bowl.
Add softened sticks of butter
Add 1 tbsp of milk.
Beat on low until powdered sugar is incorporated. Then move mixer up to medium-high speed. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl often. When completely mixed the frosting may appear dry.
Add more milk, a little bit at a time until frosting is the proper consistency.
Add Peppermint Extract
