Korean Beef
1 pound ground beef
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon crushed red peppers
In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ground ginger and crushed red pepper flakes ; set aside. In a large skillet, over medium-high heat, brown and crumble ground beef until no longer pink; drain. Stir in soy sauce mixture, simmer until liquid is reduced in 1/2, stirring frequently, about 2-3 minutes. Serve over steamed rice.
