Congo Bars
Congo Bars
3/4 c melted butter
1 lb light brown sugar
3 eggs ( one at a time)
Sift together
2 3/4 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Mix until all is well blended. Then add 1 cup chocolate bits and 1 cups chopped nuts. Spread in 9x13" pan and bake 350° For 1/2 hour.
Note: Make sure you use 3/4 cup melted butter. Measure you butter after it is melted. I added three different types of chips and omitted the nuts this time. Now both my daughters have braces so we are somewhat a nut free house.
