Chinese Smores

oil or shortening for frying
1 pkg. round wonton wrappers
1 pkg. chocolate chips
1 bag mini marshmallows
powdered sugar for sprinkling

Heat 2-inches deep of oil or shortening in pan to 350 degrees. Lay out a few wonton wrappers on counter. Dip finger in water and run it all the way around the circle of pastry. In the middle of the circle, line up 3 mini marshmallows and 4 to 5 chocolate chips. Fold over dough in a half moon shape and seal pastry. Gently press out any air bubbles. Repeat with more pastries. However, these taste best served fresh, so only make as many as will be consumed. Fry sealed pastries in hot fat about 1 minute per side. Remove to paper toweled surface and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Allow to cool slightly, about 5 minutes as the filling is hot
