Cashew Christmas Crunch

2 cups milk chocolate chips
2 cups chopped cashews
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 T. corn syrup

Line a 9 inch pan with foil, butter well. Cover bottom of pan with the chocolate chips.

Combine cashews, butter, sugar and corn syrup in a large heavy pan. Cook over low heat until butter is melted; stirring constantly. Increase heat to medium; cook, stirring constantly, until mixture begins to cling together and turns golden brown.

Pour mixture evenly over chocolate chips in the pan. Spread to cover chocolate. Cool. Refrigerate until firm. Remove from pan and peel of foil. Break into pieces. Store in a tightly covered container. Makes about 1 1/2 pounds candy
