Skillet Apple Pie Biscuits
8 raw prepared biscuits (I use Grands)
1 can premium apple pie filling
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
Glaze:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2-3 Tablespoon cream
Preheat oven to 375°F. Place butter in 10" cast-iron skillet. Place skillet in oven while it preheats to heat skillet and melt butter. In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg until blended. Dip each biscuit in butter; then in cinnamon mixture. Arrange side by side in skillet cinnamon side up. Cut apples into smaller pieces; mix in vanilla. Spread evenly over biscuits. Sprinkle remaining cinnamon mixture on top. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until golden and puffy. Mix together ingredients for glaze. Drizzle on top.
