Caramel Popcorn

Caramel Popcorn 2 cups brown sugar 1 cup light corn syrup 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 stick butter (1/2 cup) 1 can sweetened condensed milk 3 bags (3 oz bags, plain microwave popcorn, popped) Place the popped popcorn in a large bowl. Try and dig out leftover kernals at the bottom and throw them away. Place the brown sugar, corn syrup and butter in a saucepan and cook over medium heat. Stir until the butter melts. Add vanilla and stir. Slowly add in the condensed milk and mix well together. Continue to stir and cook until it reaches the softball stage.( Test this by getting a mug and fill it with cold water. Drop some of the caramel in. If it forms a ball and doesnt turn into a soupy mess, than its ready ) Pour caramel over the popcorn. Stir gently to coat all of the popcorn. ( Be very careful because the caramel is very HOT) Leave in the bowl to eat or shape into balls! YUM
