Baked Dutch Apple Pie
graham wafer crust
1 egg yolk, beaten
Filling:
5 cups sliced apples
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Topping:
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/3 cup butter
Brush graham crust with egg yolk, and bake at 375F for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and set aside.
Combine apple slices with lemon juice. Add in all other filling ingredients. Pour into crust and carefully spread evenly and press down slightly.
Combine topping ingredients, adding the butter last, and mixing with a pastry blender or fork, until mixture is crumbly.
Add topping to the top of the pie.
Bake at 375F for 50-55 minutes.
