Chili Cheese Squares
1 (4 oz) can chopped green chilies, drained
2 c shredded Cheddar cheese (8 oz)
1 c buttermilk baking mix
1 c half and half
4 eggs
1/8 tsp red pepper sauce, if desired
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease 9x9-inch pan. Sprinkle chilies and cheese in pan. Beat remaining ingredients until smooth, 15 seconds in blender at high speed or 1 minute with hand beater. Pour into pan. Bake until golden and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean, 30 to 35 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes to cool before cutting. Cut into squares and serve.
