CABBAGE ROLL CASSEROLE (main dish today)
CABBAGE ROLL CASSEROLE
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
2 c. rice (I use minute rice)
1/2 lg. onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 jars your favorite spagetti sauce ( I use marinara sauce)
1 med. head cabbage, chopped
Chop and fry the cabbage and onion until partially transparent,set aside in a lg bowl
Cook the rice according to the package directions.
Brown meat and seasonings. Combine cooked rice and meat.I also add 1/4 a jar of marinara sauce,,mix well
Now to assemble:thin layer of Marinara sauce,layer of cabbage,layer of meat mixture
Continue layering ,topping off with marinara sauce
Bake 350 degrees 45 min
