Texas Beans
1 lb ground beef
4 - 16 oz cans of baked beans (I used a maple bourbon brand that added an extra bit of sweetness)
1 4 oz can green chiles
1 small onion, chopped
1 cup of barbque sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp chili powder (or to taste)
3 tbsp hot pepper sauce (or to taste)
Brown ground beef with chopped onion. Drain excess grease.
In a large pot or crock pot combine the ground beef mixture with the remaining ingredients.
Crock Pot - cook on high for 4 hours or low for six.
Stove Top - Simmer on med-low for 30 minutes.
