Praline Brownies
Praline Brownies
1/4 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 to 1 cup chopped nuts
Prepare an 8x8 pan with cooking spray.
Melt butter in sauce pan. Add brown sugar, and heat while stirring until sugar has dissolved. Remove from burner, and allow to cool slightly.
In a small bowl combine the flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix well.
Add beaten egg and vanilla to cooled sugar mixture. Mix well. Add to the flour mixture.
Stir in chopped nuts.
Pour into prepared pan and bake at 350F for about 25 minutes. Do not over cook. Mine were actually ready before 25 minutes were up.
