Lone Star Pork Chops
Lone Star Pork Chops
4 large, thick pork chops
1 cup Italian salad dressing
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 jalapeno, seeded and chopped
1/2 tsp dry mustard
Place pork chops in large ziploc bag.
Combine the remaining ingredients. Pour 1/2 in the bag with the pork chops and reserve the other half for later.
Seal the bag and place in the refrigerator to allow the meat to marinate for 2-3 hours (or even over night if you prefer) Rotate the bag every hour or so to allow the marinate to reach all of the surfaces of the pork chops.
When you are ready to cook, remove the pork chops from the bag, and discard both the bag and the used marinade.
Grill or pan-fry the pork chops until they are cooked through.
Heat the reserved marinade, bringing it to a boil. Pour over pork chops just before serving.
