Vidalia Onion Barbecue Sauce
Vidalia Onion Barbecue Sauce
1 medium sweet onion, finely chopped
1 cup ketchup
2 T. finely packed brown sugar
2 T. fresh lemon juice
2 T. apple cider vinegar
2 T. Worcestershire sauce
1 T. olive oil
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
Stir together all ingredients and 1/2 cup water in large pan. Bring to boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, 20 minutes.
Makes about 2 1/2 cups.
