Buckeye Pretzels

Buckeye Pretzels 1 cup creamy peanut butter 2 tablespoons softened butter 1/2 cup powdered sugar 3/4 cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla Waffle pretzels 1.5 bags Wilton light cocoa candy melts Directions:GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA Using a hand mixer on medium speed, beat the peanut butter and butter until well combined in a medium sized bowl. Add the sugars and vanilla, beat until creamy scraping down sides as needed. I use disposable kitchen gloves for everything. I used gloves for this next step however you don’t have to. Using approximately one teaspoon of peanut butter mix into 1/2 inch balls. Place rolled balls on a cookie sheet covered in wax paper or a non-stick surface. Place in fridge for 15 minutes to chill and firm up. Melt candy melts in the microwave, double broiler or candy melter (whichever way you normally melt chocolate). I use my Wilton Chocolate Melter Deluxe crockpot and I swear that next to my wedding ring set that this is the best thing my hubby has ever bought me! Once peanut balls are chilled, sandwich one ball between two waffle pretzels. I ended up using almost the entire bag of waffle pretzels and wished I had bought a second bag. Toward the end, I was using pretzels with broken edges. After sandwiching all the pretzels, dip the pretzel sandwich halfway into the melted candy. Gently shake off excess candy. Place on wax paper and allow candy to set. You can speed up the process by placed the dipped pretzel sandwiches into the fridge.
