Sweet Butter Fudge
Sweet Butter Fudge
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup half and half milk
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups confectioners' sugar
Line a 8 inch cake pan with parchment paper and grease with butter. Make sure the paper is overhanging so you can easily remove the fudge for cutting.
In a large heavy saucepan, combine the butter, sugars, half and half and salt.
Bring to a boil over medium heat.
Once the mixture is boiling good, boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat, stir in the vanilla and mix well.
Stir in confectioner's sugar.
Spread mixture into the dish.
Cover with plastic wrap and cool until room temperature.
Cut into 1 inch squares and store in airtight container in refrigerator.
