Honey Chicken
Honey Chicken
2 Tablespoons olive oil
2 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, cut into 1 inch cubes
1/2 Cup Onion, diced
1/2 cup Green Bell Pepper, diced
2 Coves of Garlic, diced OR 1 teaspoon of garlic paste
1/3 cup Honey
1/3 cup Soy Sauce
Dash of Black Pepper
1 Tablespoon corn starch
1 Tablespoon water
2 Cups Cooked Rice (our favorite is Jasmine)
Heat oil in skillet over medium heat. Once oil is hot, add chicken, onions and peppers. Cook stirring continuously until chicken is cooked through and pepper and onion are soft.
While chicken is cooking, in a small bowl combine garlic, honey, soy sauce and pepper. Whisk quickly and continually until mixture comes together.
Pour garlic mixture over chicken once chicken is cooked through.
Cook for 2 minutes.
In a small bowl combine corn starch and water. Add to chicken/garlic mixture. Cook for 1 more minute and then allow to sit for 3 - 5 minutes, allowing sauce to thicken.
Serve over rice.
