SPANISH RICE
SPANISH RICE
2 cups Rice
2 cubes Knorr Chicken Flavor
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
1 1/2 tsp ground comino (cumin)
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp pepper
2 tsp salt ( I use sea salt)
1/4 cup large pieces of onion
1/4 cup large pieces of bell pepper
1/4 cup vegetable oil ( I use canola oil)
5 cups water
Place oil in pan and warm up. Pour rice into pan. Brown rice, stirring constantly so the rice will not burn. Pour water in then add all ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer on low to medium-low heat until rice is tender. Check rice in 10 minutes and stir once. Re-check again in 10 minutes, until rice is tender.
