SUPER BUTTERY BISCUITS

SUPER BUTTERY BISCUITS 3 cups self rising flour 1 cup buttermilk 1 stick unsalted butter Preheat oven to 400°, melt butter in a cast iron skillet on the stove top, then pour half of the melted butter into a bowl with the flour and buttermilk. On a heavily floured surface, nead your dough ball until it is no longer sticky to touch. Push excess flour to the side, and roll out dough to preferred thickness. *Mine are usually rolled out to about 1" thickness*. Cut your desired size biscuits and place in buttered covered cast iron skillet, and bake for 20 minutes. After baking for 20 minutes, use the butter in the skillet and brush the tops, then bake for an additional 5 minutes.
