FROZEN GRAPES MARINATED IN WINE
FROZEN GRAPES MARINATED IN WINE
3 cups red grapes removed from stems
1 – 2 cups red wine
3 tablespoons sugar
Place grapes in a bowl and cover with wine. Allow to marinate refrigerated for 12+ hours.
Drain grapes, toss in sugar and freeze 2 hours.
NOTES
The wine you choose will greatly vary the flavor of your marinated grapes. You can use your favorite red wine, but if you want a sweet flavor, use a sweet red wine or Port.
The longer you marinate them, the more flavor they will have. I recommend 12-24 hours for the best results.
When not coated in sugar, they make the perfect “ice cubes” to keep your wine chilled on a hot summer day.
