Sausage & Cheese Bread
non- stick spray
1 pound of pork sausage
1 small onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups Bisquick
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
2/3 cup fat free milk
1/4 cup mayonnaise
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a loaf pan with nonstick spray, set aside. In a medium skillet, cook sausage & onions over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks. Once sausage is browned, add in garlic and cook for an additional 3 minutes. Place on a plate with a paper towel to drain & cool for a few minutes. In a large bowl whisk together cheese, Bisquick, pepper & salt until there are no lumps. In a small bowl whisk together egg, milk & mayonnaise. Add egg mixture into Bisquick mixture and stir until just combined. Add in sausage and stir until well distributed, but making sure to not over mix. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until bread is browned nicely browned. Let cool in pan for 30 minutes before turning out onto serving platter. Serve & enjoy.
