Peanut Butter Dog Treats

Peanut Butter Dog Treats 1 tablespoon Molasses 3/4 cup Milk 1 teaspoon Baking Powder 1 cup Natural Peanut Butter 1/4 cup Rolled Oats 1 1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour Cooking Spray In a mixing bowl of a free standing mixer (example Kitchenaid) add milk, oats, molasses, and baking powder. Mix on low for one minute to soften the oats. Blend in peanut butter and mix on low till combined. Slowly add in flour mix till well blended. This will be a thick dough. If dough it too crumbly add one tablespoon of water. This will vary depending on humidity and temperature. Lightly spray the counter with the cooking spray and dump the dough on that area. Knead the dough for about 1 minute. *Spray the counter as needed to prevent the dough from sticking during the next step. Cut a chuck of the dough and roll into a rope shape about 1/2" diameter. Then cut the dough rope in to slices approximately 3/8" thick. Another option is to roll the dough out with a rolling pin about 1/4" thick and use cookie cutters to make different shapes or use a pasty cutter and cut dough into squares. Place shapes on a non stick pan and bake at 300° for approximately 35 to 45 minutes. When then turn golden brown remove the tray from the oven. Let treats completely cool in the pan. *If a harder treat is desired place on a microwave plate and microwave for 30 seconds at a time. As they cool they will harden. Treats can be stored in fridge or freezer.
