Skillet Squash, Onions & Peppers
1 T. bacon grease
1 T. butter
2 small - medium squash, sliced about 1/4"
1 small onion, sliced
1/4 C. red or green peppers, sliced
1/2 C. chicken broth
1/2 tsp. my house seasoning (equal parts garlic powder, onion powder and pepper...combine and store in an airtight container)
salt to taste
Heat the bacon grease & butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the veggies and cook for 5 minutes, toss the veggies and add the broth and house seasoning. Cook for about 7-8 minutes till liquid has evaporated and the veggies begin to brown. Cook to desired tenderness and season with salt before serving.
