CROCKPOT SHRIMP CREOLE
1 c finely chopped onion
1/2 c chopped celery
1 med gr pepper chopped
14 oz canned broken up tomato with juice
2 tbsp ketchup
10 oz canned sliced mushrooms,drained
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp parsley flakes
1 lb cooked fresh (or frozen, thawed) shelled shrimp (or 2 cans, 4 oz,drained)
I thickened with a bit of cornstarch and water.
Put onion,celery and green pepper in slowcooker. Combiine next 9 ingred in a bowl. Stir and add to the slowcooker. Cover and cook on low for 6 hr or on high for 3-4 hrs. Add shrimp. Stir. Cook on high for 20-30 min until shrimp is heated through. Stir before serving. Serve with rice
