Oven Roasted Turkey Legs
2 1/2 lbs. turkey legs (3 legs)
1 C. sweet tea
1 clove garlic, minced
2 T. butter, room temp.
poultry seasoning
garlic salt
pepper
oregano
parsley
Put the turkey legs in a ziploc baggie and add the tea and garlic. Place in the fridge for 12-24 hours. Remove 15 minutes prior to roasting. Take each leg, pat drywith a paper towel and loosen the skin around it. Pinch off bits of butter and tuck down under the skin, then rub each leg with more butter. Sprinkle each leg with a little of each seasoning. Line a baking sheet with tinfoil and put a roasting rack on top. Put the legs on the rack and then bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Test the legs temp. (you're looking for 170 degree reading with a meat thermometer). Cook for 5-15 minutes longer if needed to reach 170 degrees. Remove from the oven, tent with tinfoil and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
