BBQ Green Beans
BBQ Green Beans
12 oz. bag frozen green beans
4 slices bacon, chopped up
1/3 C. diced red onion
1/2 C. ketchup
1/4 C. packed light brown sugar
1 T. worcestershire sauce
Put the beans in a pot and bring up to a boil, cooking to your desired texture. Drain and set aside. In a skillet over med. high heat, add the bacon, cooking for a couple of minutes then add the onion and cook till bacon begins to get crispy. Drain off all but 1 tsp. of the grease and lower the heat to medium. Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar and worcestershire sauce. Once combined stir in the beans and coat well with the sauce. Cook for about a minute to warm the beans.
