Texas Two Step Chicken
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, , cut in half through horizontally to make 2 pieces each
1 1/2 cups picante sauce
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon spicy mustard
1 teaspoon liquid smoke
Preheat the oven to 375F
Rub a baking pan with olive oil.
Lay the 8 pieces of chicken breast in the pan.
Mix the picante, brown sugar, and spicy mustard together until smooth.
Pour over the chicken.
Bake 20 minutes until it reaches a temp of 160F.
Let sit on the counter for five to ten minutes so that the juices settle and the temperature continues to rise to 165F.
