Peanut Butter Buttercream Frosting
Peanut Butter Buttercream Frosting
½ cup Butter
1 heaping cup Peanut Butter
4 cups Powdered Sugar
2 tsp. Vanilla
1/4 cup Milk
First, add 1 heaping cup of peanut butter and 1/2 cup of softened butter into a mixing bowl.
Mix the butter and peanut butter together until fully combined.
Add 4 cups (or 1 pound) of powdered sugar, 2 teaspoons of vanilla and 1/4 cup of milk to the bowl.
Mix carefully at first so as not to send the powdered sugar flying over the kitchen.
Once the powdered sugar in combined, turn up the mixer to medium speed.
Add more milk if necessary to get the Best Peanut Butter Buttercream Frosting to be the right
consistency which is a little thicker than regular buttercream frosting but thin enough to spread on a cupcake or cake.
Our recipe should make enough Best Peanut Butter Buttercream Frosting to cover a 9″ x 13″ sheet cake or a two-layer 8″ cake.
If you are making cupcakes, you should be able to frost 24 cupcakes if you apply the frosting with a knife.
If you swirl on the frosting with a pastry bag like we have done here, you should be able to frost 15-18 cupcakes depending on the size of the swirl
