Faux Caramel Corn
Faux Caramel Corn
1 large bag of butter flavor corn puffs
2 sticks butter
2 c brown sugar
1/2 c white corn syrup
1 t vanilla
1/2 t baking soda
Bring syrup, butter, and sugar to a boil. Ensure sugar is melted. Add vanilla and soda. Stir. Pour over corn puffs in large bowl.
Bake in a large roasting pan for one hour at 250 degrees, stirring every 15 minutes.
Dump out on foil or wax paper. Separate.
The corn puffs ( at my store ) are in the potato chip isle.
Warning: Extremely addictive.
